Man in the mirror

Who is to blame?

I recently read an article about "who" is really to blame to cause heavy bad habits. The article which was written in a well regarded national newspaper says to not blame yourself for the extra weight that you put on. Apparently, blame the environment!

I am in the school of thought that ultimately "you are to blame"! No one else is going to make decisions for you as far as what you put in your mouth, so you are to blame. Sure temptation is everywhere and can at times be very hard to resist, but you must. Do not blame the business for trying to make a profit. Newsflash: They do not care about your health and well being they only care about selling and profits.

So who is to blame for your unhealthy habits?

Yes, you know the answer... The man in the mirror

Marcus, I agree with you 100%. I control what I eat, when I eat and how much I eat. If I have a hot fudge sundae, I know I need to be careful somewhere else and work out harder. Fast food did not make American Society fat, American society did...Throw in a little HFCS and away it goes...;-)

Ultimately, it is the persons responsibility of what goes in the thier mouth. It is unfortunate that the U.S. government does not help out its people and help educate them on what they are eating. Instead, the U.S. government is in bed with the large chemical and agricultural companies.
